Dense black cupric oxide for catalysts, ceramic colouring and marine anti-fouling coatings.
Overview
Copper Oxide is produced by aqueous alkaline precipitation followed by thermal calcination: a digested copper salt solution is treated with metered sodium hydroxide to precipitate copper hydroxide, which is centrifugally isolated and calcined in an indirectly heated rotary kiln to yield dense, uniform cupric oxide particles. The product is milled to target particle-size profiles and packed in secure industrial bags.
